Found only under Mushroom Fields
This is a peaceful cave with no natural hostile mobs spawning
Luminous Mooshrooms and Shroom Elfs roam the land
Giant Luminous Mushrooms & Giant Gloomy Mushrooms generate in this cave
Normal-sized mushrooms generate on the surface
Radiant Vines grow from the ground
These plants all emit a small amount of light!

Replenishes 6 hunger points (3 hunger bars)
Gives you Night Vision for 15 seconds

Replenishes 3 hunger points (1.5 bars)
Gives you 1-2 random effects (selecting from all positive and negative effects)

A blue gemstone found in Luminous Caverns
Luminite Ore generates at Y levels -64 to 12

Combine 6 Luminite Shards and 1 Diamond in a Crafting Table to get 1 Luminite
Luminite can be used to craft gear!


Spawns in Luminous Caverns in large groups of 4 to 8
Bred using Luminous Mushrooms
Has 8 health (4 hearts) and dies almost instantly from lava
Runs away from the player but can be lured using Luminous Mushrooms
Drops 0-2 Luminous Mushrooms when killed

Spawns in Luminous Caverns
Bred using Wheat
Interact with it using:
A bucket to get milk
A bowl to get Luminous Mushroom Stew
Mysterious Mushroom first, then a Bowl to get Mysterious Stew
Shears to get Luminous Mushrooms. This will turn them into normal cows

Found under Swamps and Mangrove Swamps
This is a very dangerous cave with thick green fog, limiting your render distance
The natural habitat of Slimes, Witches and Slimy Zombies
A layer of Slimy Stone replaces Stone on the surface, which slows you down
Slime Layers cover most of the floor
Slimy Blossoms and Slimy Sprouts scatter across the cave
Sticky Spikes generate on the surface and hurts you when you step on them
Slime drips from the ceiling
Mud, Tall Grass and Slimy Pebbles can be found here

Crafted with 1 Bowl and 2 Slimeballs
Replenishes 3 hunger points (1.5 bars)
Gives you Jump Boost II for 8 seconds and Resistance II for 5 seconds
Has a 45% chance to also give you Hunger I for 30 seconds and Nausea II for 20 seconds

Spawns in the Slimy Sewers in large hordes of 3 to 5
Has 20 health (10 hearts) like a regular zombie
Throws Hardened Slimeballs at enemies, dealing 7 damage (3.5 hearts) with no armor
Drops: Hardened Slimeballs and Rotten Flesh
Vanilla Minecraft Slimes spawn more frequently here, in groups of 2 to 4
Vanilla Minecraft Witches also spawn more frequently here, in groups of 1 to 2

Generates under Swamps between Y=-59 and 47.
There are 2 variants: Stone & Deepslate, for their respective Y levels
There are 3 spawners: 1 with Slimes, 2 with Slimy Zombies
There is a treasure chest in the middle with valuable loot, including the Slime Dagger (exclusively found here!)
Slime Daggers deal 6 seconds of Poison II to any mob attacked using this weapon

Here is everything new you can get from the Slimy Sewers.
Slime Dungeons are built using Slimy Stone Bricks, Slimy Deepslate Bricks, and Slimy Deepslate Tiles. You can craft them using Slimy Stone and Slimy Deepslate!
Slime Lanterns can be crafted using 1 Glowstone and 4 Hardened Slimeballs!

Found only under Deserts
This is a very dusty cave with thick yellow fog
Home to dangerous creatures like Scorpions and Sandy Skellies
All stone in this cave is replaced with Limestone, Cobbled Limestone, Calcite, and Sandstone
Patches of Quicksand and Coarse Dirt occasionally generate
Limestone Pebbles, Cobbled Limestone Pebbles, and Sand Layers can be found on the floor
Sandy Roots hang from the ceiling

Spawns in the Limestone Caves in swarms of 2 to 4. Also spawns on the Desert surface in swarms of 1 to 3
Has 16 health (8 hearts)
Inflicts 10 seconds of Poison every attack
Drops Raw Scorpion on death (or Cooked Scorpion if died in fire or lava)
Vanilla Minecraft Husks also spawn more frequently here, in hordes of 2 to 4

Spawns in the Limestone Caves in groups of 1 to 2
Has 16 health (8 hearts)
Has a 10% chance to drop their skull when killed

Crafted using Sandstone Sticks (found in Limestone Dungeons) and 1 Sandy Skelly Skull.
Used to trigger sandstorms, inflicting Blindness and Weakness II to opponents!

Raw Scorpion items drop from Scorpions on death
Replenishes 1 hunger point (0.5 bars)
Gives you Fatal Poison II for 10 seconds, Nausea III for 8 seconds, and Hunger III for 10 seconds
Raw Scorpion items can be smelted in a Furnace or Smoker to make Cooked Scorpion


There are 4 spawners: 2 with Scorpions, 2 with Husks
There is a treasure chest in the middle with valuable loot, including diamonds, golden apples, and/or enchanted apples

All ruins have a chest, which contains useful items.
There are 6 variants in total. See if you can find them all!



Found under all cold and frozen biomes, such as Snowy Taigas, Ice Plains and Frozen Oceans
Ice can be found everywhere, such as dripping icicles and ice crystals
Penguins, Frost Spirits and Ice Bombers call these desolate caves home
Ice Crystals, Frosted Stone and Frosted Deepslate replaces most stone on the cave surface
Crystallized Ice and Blue Ice make up the cave ceiling
Pebbles can be found on the floor
Icicles drip from the ceiling

Spawns in the Ice Caves in groups of 2 to 4, and on the surface of in groups of 3 to 5
Has 10 health (5 hearts)
Cannot be tamed but can be lured and bred using Raw Cod and Raw Salmon
Vanilla Minecraft Strays also spawn more frequently here, in armies of 2 to 3

Spawn in the Ice Caves in groups of 1 to 2
They are playful little ice cubes that jump and attack you, dealing 3 damage (1.5 hearts) per hit
Has 16 health (8 hearts)
Drops Frost Essence, which can be used for brewing and crafting a special weapon

Spawns in Ice Caves in groups of 1 to 2
Throws Ice Bombs, dealing 1 damage on hit and 1.5 seconds of Freezing
Has 20 health (10 hearts)
Drops 0-2 Ice Bombs


Generates at y=-20.
Beyond The Underground’s first procedurally generated structure! This means every Ice Fort will have a unique layout and different from any other you’ve conquered.
Contains the legacy Ice Dungeon structure (rare) and an ice-themed Arena Battle, with biome-exclusive rewards
Many loot chests can be found here!

Crafted using 6 Frost Essence, 1 Frozen Core, and 2 Sticks.
This weapon deals 6 damage and inflicts Slowness IV and Mining Fatigue III!


Found under Jungles, Bamboo Forests, Roofed Forests, Meadows and Flower Forests
Home to the Rainbow Gum Tree, giant flowers and mushrooms
Watch out for the Thornspitter and their tracking thorns!

Chromatic Petals and Twilight Spores generate everywhere
Star Jasmine generate on Rainbow Gum trees
Giant flowers are very common

Spawns in groups of 2 to 3 and in Giant Wither Roses
Shoots tracking thorns at you
Has 16 health (8 hearts)
Drops melons with a 4% chance of dropping the Corrupted Bouquet

Giant Flowers have a 4% chance to be Giant Wither Roses. These flowers have a Thornspitter spawner in them.
The chest has an 70% chance of generating with a Corrupted Bouquet


The Rainbow Gum tree comes with its own wood type!

Found under Plains, Forests, Birch Forests and Taigas
Giant Gypsum formations and Topaz Crystals can be found here, alongside Gypsum Needles that grow from the cave ceiling.
Home to the Crystal Firefly.

Spawns in groups of 2 to 4
Has 6 health (3 hearts)
Flies around leaving behind trails of topaz dust particles

Use to gain the Touch of Fire ability: For a specified duration, instantly smelt blocks you break and set entities you hit on fire.
Recharge the amulet with 1 XP level for 30 seconds in an Experience Tank. The maximum duration is 3 minutes.
You can only charge an amulet 3 times. After that, you’ll have to craft a new one!

Found under Savannas and Badlands.
Lifeless terrain scattered with Petrified snags, bushes and dry grass.

Petrified snags generate with its own new wood type! The set is light gray and slightly darker than Pale Oak.

Found exclusively in new, giant caverns beneath the Nether Wastes!
These caves are home to the Crooked Forest, with the new Crooked wood type
Souls are present almost everywhere in this cave. Watch out for ghostly, wandering Wisps!
Crooked Fungi and Crooked Roots generate here
Giant Crooked Fungi are found everywhere
Lava pits and Soul Geysers are common in this cave. Tread carefully!

Wisps spawn in the Soul Caverns and in Soul Sand Valleys
They spawn in groups of 2 to 3
They have 12 health (6 hearts)
They shoot Souls at you, which deal a lot of damage!
They drop Soul Fragments upon death, which can be used to craft the Soul Healer


Replenishes 6 hunger points (3 bars)
Gives you Fire Resistance for 20 seconds

There is 1 Wisp spawner
There is a treasure chest filled with goodies, ranging from Soul Bricks to Diamonds, Enchanted Apples, Soul Fragments, or even the Soul Healer!
Hidden underneath the lava are Broken Lava Tanks. Repair them in a Crafting Table first!

Lava Tanks work like sponges, but for lava instead. Add either Gold Ingots or Diamonds to a Broken Lava Tank in a Crafting Table to repair them.
The only source of Lava Tanks are the Soul Castles.
Gold Lava Tanks remove lava from a 7x4x7 area, while Diamond Lava Tanks remove lava from a 11x6x11 area.
Lava Tanks need to be cooled down after each use. Follow the in-game instructions for more details!



Crafted using 3 Topaz, a Diamond and 5 Glass
Deposit XP and get XP back every Minecraft day. The more you deposit, the more you get!

Generates across the Overworld between Y=-30 and 20, except in Crystal Caves and the Deep Dark.
Notice a flashing Suitcase in the camp. Interact with it to summon the Lost Explorer!
They take Topaz as currency and trade unique items from various cave types.
They won’t sell specialties from the Crooked Caverns. The Nether is too dangerous of a travel destination!

Normal variants generate across the Overworld.
Limestone variants generate in Deserts.
Slimy variants generate in Slimy Sewers.
To craft more pebbles, simply put the respective block into a Stonecutter!
Generates in large patches across the Overworld.
Has no purpose except to look cool!
